As part of HOOGTIJ #79, Billytown will be hosting an artist talk this Friday the 29th of November. The curator Heeseung Choi of the ongoing exhibition The Sea We Want to See part 2 and participating artist Eunsae Lee will be in conversation about her work - we hope you'll join us.
*Consecutive interpretation in Korean and English will be provided during the talk.

Eunsae Lee (b. 1987, based in Amsterdam and Seoul) received her M.F.A. in Fine Art from Korea National University of Arts and B.F.A. in Painting from Hongik University. She has held solo exhibitions at Galerie Fons Welters (2024, Amsterdam, The Netherlands), L21 (2023, Mallorca, Spain), PHD Group (2023, Hong Kong), Ilmin Museum of Art (2021, Seoul, Korea), and Gallery2 (2020, Seoul, Korea) as well as others. She also participated in residency programs at Rijksakademie in Amsterdam (2023-2025, the Netherlands).
Heeseung Choi is a curator and writer based in Seoul. She worked as a curator at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea (2015-2020) and at Doosan Gallery, a non-profit institution in Seoul (2020-2023). Currently, Choi is a co-curator of Nam June Paik Art Center NJP Commission: Humming Chorus and she is a guest curator at Billytown in The Hague, The Netherlands. She co-curated The Sea We Want to See Part 1 (Korea Foundation Gallery, 2024) and The Sea We Want to See Part 2 (Billytown, 2024).
