There is a story in which two well-known abstract painters meet each other. They don't know each other, but they embrace each other in tears because they recognize the loneliness, the struggle, and the freedom in each other's paintings. When Nies Vooijs recognized something in the work of Melle de Boer, she asked him to collaborate on an exhibition. This exhibition, where artists Jacqueline Peeters and Ben Pritchard were invited to join, portrays a similar embrace.
