Alexander finds inspiration from artist initiatives, which he appreciates as microcosms reflecting broader societal dynamics. He is curious about collaborative structures, something he attributes to his co-founding of Hgtomi Rosa in 2019 and the ongoing activities of such initiatives. His artistic practice frequently merges the inherently social, discursive, and didactic qualities of autonomous artworks into structured moments and events.
More recently he has been working with painting, and developing the research group ‘The People Who Paint and Wear Hats’ who are busy researching the relationship between painting and hat wearing.
