Jiajia Qi (b.creates immersive installations that integrate interactive settings, architectural structure, and sculptural elements.Her interest lies in turning familiar surroundings into something distant by precisely measuring, calculating, and placing a given spatial frameworks. In order to stimulate viewers to compare what their surroundings offer up for observation and what they actually observe. Her work is just like the dust in the room, which has no recognizable outline and is thought to be in the wrong place. It is not something that is ‘beyond or next’ to viewers, but rather something ‘within or part’ of them.
