Kim David Bots

Kim David Bots (b. 1988, Amsterdam) is an artist and musician based in The Hague interested in fragmentary storytelling, the ways in which stories build and branch out over time and their ability to frame, fracture and infect reality. Kim’s work often starts from found or encountered phrases, objects, images or spaces that give way to written, auditory, spacial or musical narratives. In 2023 he was a resident at the Jan van Eyck Academie in Maastricht. Besides Billytown he is currently part of artist collective ‘It is part of an ensemble’ (https://itispartofanensemble.com/) and Het Meersoortig Collectief (https://meersoortigcollectief.blogspot.com/). His work has been shown and performed at amongst others West (Den Haag), Wiels (Brussels) and Eye Filmmuseum (Amsterdam).
